Terms and Conditions – Health Studies 4 Kids

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all products, services, and workshops provided by Health Studies 4 Kids, operated by Helen Jane and Elizabeth Dutton. By purchasing, downloading, booking, or using our services, you confirm your agreement to the Terms below.

1) Scope of Services

Health Studies 4 Kids provides educational programmes, online courses, printable resource packs, school workshops (in-person or virtual), and teacher training content, designed to support the health and wellbeing of primary school children aged 5–11.

Our materials are for educational purposes only and are suitable for use in:

  • UK state primary schools
  • Private schools
  • Academies and trusts
  • Homeschool settings
  • International schools (subject to suitability)

Our services are continually updated in line with curriculum and scientific developments. All resources are designed by qualified professionals. No part of the programme constitutes medical advice.

2) Intellectual Property and Usage Restrictions

All content—whether digital, printed, streamed, or in-person—is the intellectual property of Helen Jane and Elizabeth Dutton and protected under UK and international copyright law.

You may:

  • Use our content within your school or organisation for non-commercial educational purposes
  • Print and distribute packs internally (within one site)
  • You may not:
  • Share, copy, duplicate, modify, resell, publish, or upload our content to public websites or forums
  • Translate or adapt any part of our programmes without written consent
  • Use our materials for training other providers or for commercial gain
  • We reserve the right to take legal action against any misuse, reproduction, or unauthorised distribution.

3) Payment Terms, Plans & Refund Policy

3a) Payment Methods
Full payment must be made in advance for all online courses, downloadable products, and school workshop bookings unless a payment plan has been explicitly agreed in writing.

3b) Payment Plans
Payment plans (if offered) are legally binding. Failure to complete agreed instalments will result in suspension of access to course materials and may lead to legal recovery action.

3c) Cooling-Off Period
In line with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you may cancel your digital product or service purchase within 14 daysprovided you have not accessed or downloadedthe course or files.

3d) Non-Refundable Policy After Access/Delivery
Once any part of the programme has been accessed (online login activated, resources downloaded, or workshops delivered), no refunds will be issued. This policy applies to:

  • Digital downloads
  • Online courses
  • School training and live sessions
  • Bespoke bookings and workshop days

You acknowledge that, by accessing any digital materials or attending any session, you forfeit your right to cancel under consumer law due to the nature of the content.

3e) Cancellations by Schools
For in-person school bookings:

  • Cancellations within 7 daysof the scheduled visit are non-refundable.
  • Cancellations with more than 7 days’ notice may be rescheduled (subject to availability).

4) Data Protection and Confidentiality

We take your data seriously and comply with all UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

We collect only necessary information (such as contact names, school names, emails, and billing details) to provide services effectively. Your data is:

  • Stored securely (password-protected and encrypted)
  • Never shared or sold to third parties
  • Used solely for service delivery, updates, or administrative communication

5) School Responsibility and Safeguarding

  • Schools, trusts, or parents remain responsible for:
  • Ensuring age-appropriate use of our materials
  • Providing supervision and safeguarding in accordance with your internal policy
  • Notifying us in advance of any special educational needs or cultural sensitivities

All in-person facilitators are Enhanced DBS checked, and safeguarding procedures are in place. We are happy to provide documentation upon request.

6) Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Health Studies 4 Kids shall not be held liable for:
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our materials
  • Technical issues accessing online content
  • Actions taken based on information or ideas provided in our content
  • It is your responsibility to ensure the suitability of our materials for your specific learning environment.

7) Right to Amend

We may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, or operational needs. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of any updated Terms.

8) Governing Law and Jurisdiction
